Me, The Wake, and The Board..

I have been into extreme sports forever. I used to skateboard and bmx everyday of my life. Kids would want to play video games or watch television, but I wanted to go out strolling on my wheels. I did this by myself and had a lot of alone time. This alone time I liked a lot. With recent injuries and have no time, I have set those things aside. I couldn't be out of an extreme sport forever. I found the sport of wakeboarding.
The first year of this new sport, I just rode and just kept it low key. It was a pretty natural feel since I had experience with a board before. The next year I attempted to get crazy. I started to jump the wake and throw in some things here and there. I was having a lot of fun. Then the big day came to attempt a flip. It was one of the scariest things I have ever done. I landed it on my 3rd try and was astonished. I was crazy to think that I actually did that. The third year was just the last year was. I didn't go out that much, but i still get a thrill.
Something about skimming on the surface calms me. It gives me a time to think and to throw my worries aside. I just go out and do that the thing that I do. I'm not the best wakeboarder by far. I'm not even close to being up to par with the people around here, but I just love the sport and hope to continue to approve.
